Drivers get calls from the 9-1-1 emergency system and patrol in the downtown Seattle area to identify and assist persons in need of help. The drivers do a basic screening of a person’s needs and take them to a safe location. Drivers are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Rad Care started out of some qualitative research about Trans access to HIV testing done from 2011 to 2014 by Smitty Buckler. Shortly afterwards we started creating a website that could be updated by anyone wanting to add information. It has been in homeostasis and is slowly become a part of this site conceptual with updated resources. Want to help? Drop us a line.

Other pages we are compiling are on autism, harm reduction, sex work, resiliency, self care and identification documents.

We currently are also working on a page for those who want to quit substances. This is mostly because we are getting asked this information often, not because we have any judgements about whether people should be using drugs.
